SSI TechXR - Technical Diving Program
Looking for extreme action or just a dive beyond the limits? Check out SSI’s Extended Range and Technical Extended Range Programs! Extending Your Range SSI TechXR is a well rounded Technical Diving program that is designed to take the recreational diver to an extreme level for their diving adventures. Whether you are looking for the excitement of deep reef diving, significantly extending your bottom time on shallow dives or the thrill of exploring wrecks located well past 40m (130 feet), SSI TechXR provides the training and experience necessary to complete every new adventure with confidence and skill. If you are interested in learning what Technical Divers know about increasing safety when a NDL is exceeded or you would like to see what a shipwreck looks like from the inside out – all while managing your risk and using your current Total Diving System then Extended Range Diving is for you! A complete listing of Extended Range Courses with descriptions is below. Xtreme Excitement Some divers just want more – more depth, more time underwater, more penetration. If that describes you then the extreme programs in the SSI TechXR Range are for you!
Extreme Penetration? Did you prefer a full on Cave or Wreck penetration course – either way TXR has you covered. Extreme Time Underwater? Advanced Deco Procedures will let you hang underwater as long as your gas allows. Extreme Big Animal Exposures? We got that too, a TXR CCR course will give you the ability to dive deep and silent enough to get up close and personal. Whatever your current diving ability or aspirations Extended Range or Technical Extended Range Diving will challenge you with environments, depths, bottom times, procedures, and equipment not commonly encountered by recreational divers. You will be experiencing advanced levels that require extensive knowledge, enhanced diving skills, and considerable experience and you will do it with an Apex Expert, your SSI XR or TXR Instructor at your side. Xtreme Training SSI provides world class support for your journey with these specific learning tools: a manual, interactive CD-ROM, Technical DiveLog and Technical Dive Slates. In addition, your instructor may also require you to have a personal copy of an advanced dive planning software program. The following programs are available:
You can take each of these courses individually or combine programs to make your training time more efficient. You will develop confidence and comfort with these new skills through repetition and supervised experiences. Training will be designed to match your goals and objectives. SSI’s signature training methods the "SSI Diver Diamond "and "Comfort Through Repetition" have been applied to keep the programs consistent and provide the same high quality education as other SSI products.
